Service Agreement

IgnitePrep. Last updated October 2026.

The short version

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below control.

1. Who This Agreement Is Between

This Service Agreement (the "Agreement") is between IgnitePrep, operated by Arnav Basu ("IgnitePrep," "we," or "us"), and the person who books or pays for services (the "Client"). The person receiving the advisory services is the "Student."

If the Student is 18 or older, the Student may be the Client. If the Student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be the Client. The Client agrees to this Agreement on their own behalf and on behalf of the Student, confirms they have the authority to do so, is responsible for payment, and is responsible for making sure the Student follows this Agreement. A parent or guardian may attend any session with a Student under 18.

2. Services

IgnitePrep provides college admissions and career advisory sessions ("Sessions") conducted via Google Meet, 60 minutes each, with a pre-session agenda and a post-session written summary provided. Available packages and prices are listed at igniteprep.academy. A package covers the stated number of Sessions for a flat fee and does not renew automatically.

Free 15-minute intro calls are informational, create no obligation, and are not Sessions.

Services do not include writing or completing application materials (such as essays, resumes, or applications) on the Student's behalf, contacting colleges, employers, or recruiters on the Student's behalf, or submitting applications. All materials the Student submits should be the Student's own work.

3. Booking, Payment, and Confirmation

Full payment is required before Session 1 and is processed through Stripe. The price shown when a package is purchased applies to that package, and later price changes do not affect a package already purchased.

We may ask the Client to confirm acceptance of this Agreement by email. A booking is confirmed once payment is received and any requested confirmation is complete.

Sessions should be used within 12 months of purchase unless we agree otherwise in writing.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. We may pause remaining Sessions while a payment dispute or chargeback is being resolved.

4. Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

Sessions can be rescheduled with 48 or more hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours of a Session, and missed Sessions without notice, forfeit that Session.

If we need to cancel or reschedule a Session, we will offer a new time at no cost. If we cannot find a time that works for you, we will refund that Session.

5. Refund Policy

Example: on a $500 four-session package, each Session is valued at $125. A pro-rated refund requested after Session 1 would return $375 for the three remaining Sessions.

Refund requests should be emailed to igniteprepadvisory@gmail.com. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 10 business days.

6. Client and Student Responsibilities

The Client and Student agree to provide accurate information, to attend Sessions as scheduled, and to keep their application materials original and accurate. The Student is responsible for all applications, deadlines, and submissions. IgnitePrep is not responsible for application submissions or deadlines.

7. No Guarantee of Outcomes

IgnitePrep does not guarantee college admission, scholarships, internship placement, employment, or any specific outcome. Outcomes depend on many factors outside any advisor's control. Our advice is based on our experience and may not reflect every school's or employer's current requirements, so the Client should confirm important requirements and deadlines directly with schools and employers.

8. Confidentiality and Privacy

We keep the Client's and Student's personal and academic information confidential and use it only to provide the services. We share it only with service providers needed to deliver those services (such as Google Meet, Stripe, and email) or when required by law.

Sessions may not be recorded without prior written consent. Materials, summaries, and session content may not be distributed or shared with third parties. Violation may result in legal action.

We will not publish the Student's name, photo, results, or testimonials without the Client's written permission.

9. Intellectual Property

All session materials and frameworks remain the property of IgnitePrep and may not be reproduced or commercialized. The Client and Student keep ownership of their own application materials and personal content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IgnitePrep is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost opportunities, rejected applications, or lost offers. IgnitePrep's total liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the amount the Client paid for the applicable package. Nothing in this Agreement limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Ending the Agreement

The Client may stop using the services at any time, and any refund follows Section 5. IgnitePrep may end services if the Client does not pay, violates this Agreement, or behaves in an abusive or inappropriate way. If we end services for any reason other than the Client's violation of this Agreement, we will refund the unused Sessions on a pro-rated basis.

12. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. The current version is always posted at igniteprep.academy/terms.html with its "Last updated" date. An update applies to packages purchased after it is posted, and the version in place when you purchased governs your package. The exceptions are corrections of errors and changes required by law, which apply to everyone.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. If a disagreement arises, the Client agrees to email us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it in good faith. If it cannot be resolved, either party may bring the claim in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.

14. Communication

Client communications are responded to within 48 hours on weekdays. Notices under this Agreement may be sent by email to the address used when booking or to igniteprepadvisory@gmail.com.

15. General Terms

If any part of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it. This Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties about the services and replaces earlier discussions. The Client may not transfer their rights under it. Neither party is responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as illness, outages, or severe weather, and we will reschedule affected Sessions at no cost.

16. Acceptance

By booking a Session or completing payment, the Client confirms they have read and agree to this Agreement on their own behalf and on behalf of the Student.
