Why are you qualified to counsel my child over experienced college counselors and admissions officers?
Most college counselors advise from memory — they went through the process years or decades ago and haven't navigated it since. I went through it recently. I secured internships at Bechtel, Johnson & Johnson, and General Motors before my senior year at Purdue, one of the top engineering programs in the country. I know what works right now — which approaches, which recruiting timelines, which application strategies are actually current — because I lived them last semester, not in 2015. That recency is what I'm offering.
How are you different from other counseling services?
Most platforms employ advisors who are years removed from the process they're advising on. They offer credentials from the past. I offer current experience. Every strategy I share comes from navigating the exact same systems your child is about to face — right now, not years ago. I also work directly with your child — there's no team, no handoff, no junior associate. You get me.
What are your services like?
  • STEM & College Readiness — 4 sessions ($500). A structured four-session program covering student profile development, application strategy, academic positioning, and planning beyond high school. Parents receive check-ins at key milestones and written summaries after each session.
  • Fortune 500 Recruiting — 3 sessions ($299). A focused program covering career goal mapping, resume and personal brand development, networking strategy, and interview preparation. Built around what actually works in competitive recruiting cycles.
How do sessions work logistically?
Sessions are conducted via Google Meet, each lasting 60 minutes. You'll receive a brief agenda before each session so you can come prepared. After each session I'll send a written summary covering what we discussed, decisions made, and action items before the next meeting.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Sessions can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit that session. Full refunds are available before Session 1. After Session 1, refunds are prorated based on remaining sessions. No refunds after Session 3.
Do you guarantee college admission or job placement?
No — and any service that does is misrepresenting what counseling can achieve. Outcomes depend on many factors outside any advisor's control. What I guarantee is structured, honest guidance from someone with recent, relevant experience and genuine investment in your student's outcome.
What if my student doesn't feel connected after the first session?
That's okay — fit matters. If after Session 1 it doesn't feel right, I'll refund the package in full. A good working relationship is essential for this to be genuinely useful.
